COVID-19 UPDATE

March 9, 2022- As we continue to adapt to the changing nature of COVID-19, our office continues to monitor the COVID-19 community level in our area.  Currently, our local level is LOW. This means masks are welcome, but not required for our patients and visitors, per the CDC public indoor guidance. We frequently monitor our local levels and will require indoor masking if our local level is upgraded. If you or a loved one are at severe risk for illness from COVID-19, we encourage you to wear a mask in all public indoor areas, including our office. Your health and safety remain our top priority! As such, our clinical team will continue wearing all proper personal protective equipment (including masks) and following strict COVID-19 safety protocols during all exams and procedures. Please let us know if you have any questions before or during your visit. We look forward to seeing you!

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months. While many things have changed, some things remain the same, our commitment to your safety and your dental health!

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, as I am sure you have seen during your visits to our office. Our infection control procedures are made so when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. Our office has implemented increased infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies closely so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

Some of the changes you will experience during your appointment are COVID pre-screening phone calls, temperature recordings, in-office managed social distancing and enhanced PPE, to name a few. In addition to Hepa filtration units throughout the office, we have added additional equipment in the operatories as well. Our new extraoral suction units are in place to capture any aerosolized particles at your chairside and destroy bacteria and viruses utilizing Hepa filtration and UV light. It’s true, these are unprecedented times, but our new protocols and equipment are designed to keep you and our team safe while you are here.

It has been proven that consistent dental care including cleanings, x-rays and examinations are crucial to maintaining oral health. We work very hard to keep your teeth and oral tissues healthy. Please do not delay your dental care. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we have implemented to keep you, and every patient, safe in our office. To make an appointment, please call 688-4501.  We welcome you and thank you for being our patient! We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to seeing you!
